In 2017 Prof. Stephen Hawking predicted the necessity to leave the Earth within 100 years or less, hoping to find a new planet and let de-anthropize our one, recover its naturalness.
Earth is now abandoned, the climate is heavily altered, nature is recovering its spaces, everything was left as it was at the time of the departure of human beings. Still, the planet is heavy polluted: environmental matrices, objects, plants, insects, sampling media the collected samples show the visible or hidden traces that the human being has left in them, the evident or unseen presence of polluting content

"  Let’s be clear: human activities are at the root of our descent toward chaos. But that means human action can help solve it. Making peace with nature is the defining task of the 21st century. It must be the top, top priority for everyone, everywhere.”

ID: asbestos cement sheet roof
Relevant pollution content: Presence of Asbestos fibers

Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral composed of flexible fibers that are resistant to heat, electricity and corrosion. These qualities make the mineral useful, but they also make asbestos exposure highly toxic.
A rare and aggressive cancer called mesothelioma is almost exclusively caused by asbestos exposure, while asbestos also causes a progressive lung disease called asbestosis.
Due to its fantastic thermal qualities and being extremely fire retardant, it was extensively used in roofing and insulation in the 20th century. Cement sheets are one of the most commonly used roofing products that the mineral is found in, and there are still a large number of buildings around the world that have an asbestos cement sheet roof. The problems with the roof sheets occur as they deteriorate with age and consequently become more brittle becoming a real risk for health. Asbestos causes an estimated 255,000 deaths annually around the world, according to latest knowledge.

ID: Moth

Relevant pollution content: Bioindicator.

The world is facing a biodiversity crisis. An estimated one million species are threatened with extinction, vertebrate populations decreased by 68% on average between 1970 and 2016. The trends of insects, which make up at least 60% of all species on Earth and contribute vital and valuable ecosystem services, such as decomposition, pest control and pollination, remain poorly understood. Recently, there has been great public concern about impending “insect Armageddon”, that is the catastrophic loss of insects across the whole world.
Habitat destruction driven by land-use change, chemical pollution Artificial light at night (ALAN) have negative effects on moth development and behavior. Climate change is the principal driver of range expansion, but there is also growing evidence of negative impacts, particularly on moths that are adapted to cooler conditions.

ID: Soil
Relevant pollution content: 4947 mg/kg Lead (Pb)

Investigation for presence of heavy metals in the soil, an ill-defined group of inorganic chemical hazards like lead (Pb), chromium (Cr), arsenic (As), zinc (Zn), cadmium (Cd), copper (Cu), mercury (Hg), and nickel (Ni) most commonly found at contaminated sites.
Soil may become contaminated by the accumulation of heavy metals and metalloids through emissions from the industrial areas, mine tailings, disposal of high metal wastes, leaded gasoline and paints, land application of fertilizers, animal manures, sewage sludge, pesticides, wastewater irrigation, coal combustion residues, spillage of petrochemicals, and atmospheric deposition.
Soil  is the major sink for heavy metals released into the environment by aforementioned anthropogenic activities.
